My name is Abby Lukacik, I am soon to be a college graduate of Stark State College with an associates in digital photography in addition to being certified in graphic design. My photography focuses on an artistic approach to portrait photography that helps to bring out the positive traits of the subject with visually appealing themes and backgrounds. What motivates me to continue with my passion is the excitement of experimenting with my artistic vision. I always continue to learn more about different techniques that can make my pictures feel alive. Many of these experiments can be technical, including studio light angles, blacklights, colored lights, or even the clothing worn by my subjects. Other experiments could also include finding interesting shots in nature that not many people would easily notice. I love posing myself or my fiancé during these photoshoots with different artistic approaches because of how fun it is experimenting with new lights, different types of makeup, and props that I buy or make myself. 

I love many forms of art and creating it through various mediums. Some of my favorites include painting and photography. When it comes to my photography, the medium I have put the most focus on would be portrait and nature photography. However, I also enjoy incorporating painting into my portrait photography when I take pictures using blacklights or simply making colorful and vibrant props. It is very satisfying being able to plan for a photoshoot and making some of the props or buying them for the background and having the artistic vision coming together in the end. This encapsulates the main theme I aim for with most of my photography, which is an artistic approach to portrait shots with an out-of-the-box approach that includes the use of various resources (studio lights, natural lights, blacklights, make-up, props, and many more). 

The exploration of various types of artistic expression is something that aim to improve on with different types of make-up, lights, and props. In addition, my goal is to make my subjects appear visually appealing with the artistic approach and having my viewers see portrait photography as beautiful in a different but unique way. With each creative shoot I am doing, I explore different ways to be creatively expressive and break away the traditional styles.
